Scientists from Stuttgart are sending algae into space. Japanese have long ago integrated algae into their diet. Now marine vegetables are to revolutionize space travel.
"The algae can use the carbon dioxide of the astronauts and produce oxygen," says Stefan Belz at the Institute of Space Systems at University of Stuttgart.
